In General: Edit

The Windows Event Viewer is a built-in reporting tool that IT Admins can use to check on the status of a computer. Note that many times the Event Viewer will make a computer look broken with many failed events, rest assured that there are very little computers that exists that don't have ANY event issues. My computer has never had a virus or crashed which I'm on right now (owned for 2 1/2 years now), and it has over 1,000 Red-X events. The trick is to learn which ones are important and can help you through the troubleshooting process.
